GOD ANSWERS PRAYER! While at Sunday breakfast with Pastor and Sister
Carroll Lewallen, the cell phone rang. It was Liviu Clinciu
from the translator in Romania. I quickly excused myself to
take the call. “The Primary Quarterly is ready to take to
the press,” he proudly proclaimed. “That’s
good,” I replied, then remembered that funds were short!
But don’t worrry, the Lord will provide, I remembered.
Then asked everyone to pray that He would.
Upon arriving at church Rita placed
her purse in the second pew and turned around. The first person
she saw handed her an envelope. She said thank you and placed
it in her Bible. The man walked away, then turned to say,
“Maybe you should open it now.” She did and
immediately tears filled her big, dark eyes. Turning to me she
said, “God answers prayer.” Now the books have been
delivered and paid for!

CHURCHES RESPOND! During October Rita and I with Unity Baptist
Church, Richwood, Texas, Baker Drive Baptist, Dickerson, Texas,
Unity Baptist, Longview, Texas; Calvary Baptist, Henderson,
Texas; Calvary Baptist, Dumas, Arkansas; Heratige Baptist,
Texarkana, Texas; Calvery Baptist, Jonesboro, Arkansas and
First Baptist, Cave City, Arkansas. It was also a
pleasure to speak at the missions revival at Shiloh Baptist
Church of Russellville, Arkansas.
It is a blessing to see additional
churches begin to respond to the need for help. Please pray for
us as we plan to visit the translators in Thailand during the
month of December.
