New Record Attendance in Chiang Mai, Thailand!

Our Lord Sent 26 Children and 17 Adults to Worship in Chiang Mai Church on November 7, 2004!

What a great day in the Lord at the Thai Mission in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This is the work of the Lord through His missionaries, Nicky and Beverly Barnett. Bill and Rita Johnson are working the Barnett's place while they are in USA on deputation.

Rita is using the BTC Listen and Learn Leaflet to help the children learn about Jesus. These materials are produced by the BSSC and translated by International Christian publishers, a ministry of Bill and Rita Johnson, sponsored by the Calvary Baptist Church of Hamburg, Arkansas, USA. Most of the children are attending church and hearing about Jesus for the first time ever.

Other materials being translated by ICP in South East Asia include the Bible Survey book by L. D. Foreman entitled The Bible in Eight Ages. This book is being translated into Thai by Appun and Karen by Thomas Buri. A Bible doctrine book has been translated into Burmese language in Myanmar and two Primary Sunday School quarterlies

The children are working with translator Appun to learn songs to use in worship. They will practice on Saturday afternoon in preparation for Sunday worship.

Please pray for the childrn's parents. Many of them are afraid to come to church. One of the parents, when offered a Bible, would not take it, beause, she said, she was afraid to take it since she was not a Christian.

But the children are eager to learn stories about Jesus and God's love. They sit right down on the floor and listen as Rita and the translator teach about Jesus. Please pray for the chldren of Thailand, and for the Johnsons and Barnetts and others who are helping reach the people of South East Aisa.
